New website coming up

Recently I started working on a major redesign of the website which will enable me to broaden the concept of DailyImprov.net and facilitate my unrestrained stream of new ideas.

The current version of the website is generated in Rapid Weaver, a cute tool for small projects. With DailyImprov.net, already serving a podcast with over 50 episodes and over 700 megabytes of data, I see that this program can only go so far. For instance, each new improvisation requires a site export that takes over 10 minutes, and this is only the internal processing, no data transfer involved. But there are many more smaller and bigger problems I face with the current solution. I tried contacting with the developers, and while the technical support is great, I was told that the changes I need won’t probably be implemented in a reasonable time frame.

Thus, now I’m in the process of implementing my own solution. The main pending feature is a management platform which would let me add some improvisations ahead and which would publish them automatically on specified dates. Plus, a Web based content management system would make collaboration with other artists easier. More details later. For now, I’m looking for a good design that would reflect the nature of this site and its content. If you think you can help me, drop me a line.
